Help DVD Times With Their Anamorphic File
I have just bought One Million Years BC R2 today, and was very annoyed that the film was presented in non-anamorphic widescreen, as most Warner/Studio Canal releases are anamorphic in my experience. The film's packaging doesn't whether it is or it isn't anamorphic, so I suppose it's my fault to have assumed it would be. So, I'm going to create a reference list called The Anamorphic File for DVD Times, this list will contain all of the titles released in whatever region where the packaging does not claim whether the film is anamorphic or not. Therefore, I need your help, can you post here if you know of any titles whereby the packaging does not state whether the film is anamorphic or not - stating name of title, region, studio, aspect ratio and whether it is actually anamorphic or not. Worse still, can you name and shame the DVDs such as Field Of Dreams R2 and The Doors SE Region 1 that claim to be Anamorphic but actually aren't. Hopefully this will turn into a useful reference list, and the more you guys put into it the more you can take out of it. Granted, 1.66:1 or similar ratios are a special case, but it would still be beneficial to know where we stand on each of these titles before purchasing. So come on guys, I need your help  I'll even credit the people who mention titles I don't have in the list.
